This program is structured around four challenges, each accompanied by bite-sized educational videos to equip participants with life skills that are key to personal and professional success.

After completing all four challenges, participants will be shortlisted and connected with potential employers.

Your journey starts with the #IAm challenge. In all challenges you’ll receive videos and/or PDF’s to boost your life skills. After each challenge you’ll be sent a quiz and invited to join the next challenges. Remember to take your own time, and carefully prepare your videos as the most inspiring entries will be rewarded with cash prizes along the way.

What is FairChance Zimbabwe?

FairChance Zimbabwe is an innovative pilot that aims to empower young women to succeed on job interviews through a unique upskilling pathway based on life skills.
This program is testing a triangular partnership model involving Yoma leading the co-design, with employers supporting to shape the upskilling pathway and NGOs amplifying the reach of the program to young women.

It offers four challenges to enhance life skills, foster personal growth, and connect outstanding participants with real job opportunities at SPAR and Wild Horizons. This transformative initiative aims to shape a more inclusive workforce while building a community of young women who truly feel confident and ready to enter the job market.

How much does it cost?

The FairChance Zimbabwe program is completely free.

How long does the program run?

The FairChance Zimbabwe program runs from January 29th - March 18th, 2024.

What’s the benefit of participating via Goodwall?

Participants that download Goodwall will also benefit from Goodwall's current and future activities, such as learning-to-earning programs and weekly challenges with more prizes.

What is the program prize?

In addition to potentially being hired by SPAR or Wild Horizons after challenge 4, the first 3 challenges will reward $50 for 20 winners each. Finalists will also be connected to further learning-to-earning opportunities.

How are the winners selected? What are the criteria?

The winners will be selected manually at the end of the program by our jury. The selection criteria will be included in the instructions of each challenge. Uploading a video and responding to the quiz is mandatory for the first 3 challenges.

When will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced on the Goodwall app and via Whatsapp after the program ends.

How can I participate?

You can participate in 2 ways: via Goodwall for the full experience, or, via Whatsapp.

For Goodwall: Start by downloading the Goodwall app (available for iOS and Android). Once you have set up your Goodwall profile, upload your entry as a video or photo and tag #IAm. You can also participate on your computer if you are unable to download the app.

For Whatsapp: If you’re unable to download the app, text the number +27 83 887 3804 on Whatsapp, and participate in the program there!

It’s that simple!

After the first challenge, how will I unlock the next challenges?

You will receive a quiz via Whatsapp or through a DM on Goodwall that you’re to answer and reply to in order to unlock challenges 2, 3, and 4.

On Goodwall, where can I see the challenges?

The first challenge #IAm will be visible in your Discover Feed. The other challenges are private, so you’ll be able to access them through your profile once you’ve clicked on the link we send you via DM.

Can I join at any point during the program?

Yes, you are welcome to participate at any point during the program, always starting from challenge 1, #IAm. We encourage you to take your time to complete each challenge as the most inspiring entries will be selected as winners.

Who can participate?

We welcome female participants between 18 and 26 years of age from all over Zimbabwe!

How will I receive my prize if I win?

A Goodwall Community Manager will contact you soon after winning to arrange prize delivery.
